Antonio of Venice breezed on Thursday working 4 furlongs on the dirt in 48.86 over the Belmont Park Training Track. That work was 16 of 75 at the distance.
We spoke with trainer Rudy Rodriguez after the breeze. He said, "He worked very well however he came out of the work with the beginnings of a quarter crack. We'll address that and hopefully it doesn't take him off his schedule."
Rudy will breeze Antonio of Venice on a 7-day breeze schedule preparing him for a return race which could be the Allowance N1X going 7 furlongs at Aqueduct on September 20.
