Nonno Joe breezed on Friday working 5 furlongs on the dirt in 1:03.42 at Belmont Park Training Track. That work was 10 of 11 at the distance.
We spoke with trainer Rudy Rodriguez after the breeze. He said, "He worked well and is doing well. I expect him to be ready when turf season begins."
Rudy will breeze Nonno Joe on a 7-day breeze schedule preparing him for a return race on the turf at Aqueduct.
