Nonno Joe breezed on Monday working 4 furlongs on the dirt in 50.00 over the Belmont Park Training Track. That work was 28 of 36 at the distance.
We spoke with trainer Rudy Rodriguez after the breeze. He said, "He worked fine this morning. It was just a leg-stretcher. I've been entering him for a week but he race doesn't fill. They didn't bring it back so we're going back to the drawing board."
Rudy will keep Nonno Joe fresh as he looks for a spot for his next race.
