Rons Legacy breezed on Saturday working 4 furlongs on the dirt in 50.84 over the Belmont Park Training Track. That work was 113 of 141 at the distance.
We spoke with trainer Jeremiah Englehart after the breeze. He said, "He breezed OK this morning. I think it's fairly obvious that he doesn't really like the dirt. He's clearly a turt horse. He breezed OK but his workmate nipped him at the end. Nonetheless he'll be ready to go on April 18."
Jeremiah will point Rons Legacy to the Maiden Special Weight going 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Aqueduct on April 18.
